THE CHALLENGE

Biking for Energy Challenge is a quest to affordable and modern energy off-grid for the less advantaged around the world.

Participants produce kinetic energy by riding a bicycle with an energy storage battery for at least an hour.

Kinetic energy from riding absorbs, converts, and stores as electricity with state-of-the-art technology.

Rationale

IMPACT/LEGACY

The energy storage batteries are a valuable gift for participants in areas that have limited access to electricity.

Biking as renewable energy sources minimizes negative impact on the environment, especially beneficial for those regions with limited access to electricity.

For participants that can readily access electricity, the battery serves as a little motivation for maintaining health (SDG 3), energy converted can recharge their smartphones.
